Refrigerated trailers: the temperature is the proof
Bluetooth temperature and humidity sensors watch the inside of the semi-trailer. An alert goes out as soon as a threshold is crossed or a door opens in the wrong place.

Trailer theft
A loaded trailer parked at a motorway services is an easy target: nothing holds it, and nobody watches it at night. The standalone tracker keeps reporting its position even when uncoupled, and that changes everything in the first few hours.

Does the tracker need power on the trailer?
No. Standalone trackers carry their own battery and last up to 5 years depending on the model and how often they report. No wiring is needed on the trailer.
Can we tell which tractor unit took which trailer?

What about refrigerated trailers?
